Bay Ledges is the musical project of Zach Hurd, a Maine-born singer/songwriter known for his unique blend of indie-pop and electronic sounds. Hurd began his musical journey in his hometown of Bath, Maine, before moving to Los Angeles in 2015, where he started Bay Ledges as a passion project. The project's name is a nod to a family property in Maine, reflecting Hurd's deep-rooted connection to his home state.
In 2016, Bay Ledges gained significant attention with the release of the single "Safe," which climbed to number three on Spotify's Global Viral Chart. This success marked a turning point, leading to widespread recognition and a growing fan base. Following this, Hurd released the debut EP "Fountain Tropical" in 2017, showcasing his distinctive sound characterized by folky guitar riffs intertwined with glitchy, bedroom-produced electronic elements.
