Matteo Wakeman
Matteo Wakeman is a junior at Harvard University with a strong interest in both finance and music. He is an incoming Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he will deepen his understanding of the financial industry in the heart of New York City. Driven by his passion for music that began at a young age with electronic music and Pioneer decks, Matteo founded the Harvard Undergraduate Music Business Association (HUMBA) to explore the artistic, legal, and business aspects of the music industry and to share these insights with fellow students at Harvard.
As a professional DJ, Matteo has collaborated with over 10 hospitality groups to perform at more than 30 Latin, Tech House, and Afrohouse shows over the past year and a half, including appearances at over 10 nightclubs across cities such as Miami, Buenos Aires, New York City, and Boston. His ability to blend business acumen with artistic expression continues to drive his creative and professional endeavors in and outside of HUMBA.
Raghav Mehrotra
Raghav Mehrotra is a junior at Harvard studying economics and music while also dual enrolling at Berklee College of Music, where he is attaining his Master’s in Music as a part of the Harvard/Berklee Dual Degree Program. He started playing drums at age 3 and, with a professional career spanning close to two decades, has gone to perform on stages across the globe; from countless international festivals, to stints on Late Night Television, to a Tony-nominated Broadway Musical. He’s earned recognition from and collaborated with Emmy, Oscar, and GRAMMY-winning industry figures and, recently, was the drummer on GRAMMY-nominated musician Jordan Rakei’s 5th studio album, “The Loop” (placing in the Top 40 on the US charts). Raghav’s collegiate interests have led him to found the Harvard Undergraduate Music Business Association (HUMBA) to further foster his curiosity in the business, legal, and financial side of the music industry. He continues to balance his passion for performance with his ambition to shape the future of the music industry through innovation and education.
